2.2.3 Docs

Docs (Editor Tools) is where you upload and organize project files on the server — images, Markdown, PDFs, and folders used by map-side 2.1.6 Docs. You can also compile folder contents into CSV link lists for series and layer content.

A. Upload a Picture

This step allows you to upload your image files to the server.

Following steps to uploading a document:

  1. Open Data Sources on the bottom-left panel.

  2. Navigate to the Docs tool.

  3. Click this icon to create a new folder.

  1. Alternatively, drag and drop images directly into your folder (as shown in the video).

  2. You can rename the files if needed.

B. Compiling Links

This tool is for collect all file URLs in a folder (recursive) matching selected types.

Following steps to use Compiling Links:

  1. On the Docs panel, click the Tools panel.

  2. Select the folder you want to generate.

  3. Select your desired file types and click the Compile & Save CSV button.

  4. Your compiled links will be available in Docs.

C. Creating Series Photo by URLs

It can also be used to retrieve specific images via their URLs, by matching them to their unique IDs respectively.

This process requires file names to match their corresponding unique IDs. Once matched, the compiler automatically generates unique URLs based on those identical IDs and file names.

Following steps to use the URL in MD(Series/Layer/Theme):

  1. Download your compiled links as a CSV.

  2. Join by attributes via Pantograf or preferred GIS software.

  3. Upload the finalized .gpkg file back to the server.

  4. To display data in the 1.1.7 Island Bar (Right Bar) (right panel), use the Syntax Helper > Markdown Syntax Help to generate the syntax.
